The Butler Area Transit Authority has adopted a succession plan in the event that current Executive Director John Paul retires or is otherwise unable to fulfill his duties.
Following a closed-door executive session, the authority’s board of directors approved a motion that would move current Marketing and Communications Manager Kelly Stewart to the Executive Director position as well as transition current Finance Manager Tiffany Fosnaught into a newly created position of Deputy Director.
The state has been asking the authority for a succession plan for a number of years and although the plan is effective immediately, no change in responsibilities will take place until the conclusion of John’s Paul’s employment with the authority.
Some training will start to get underway though with Stewart expected to be included in meetings Paul regularly attends and Fosnaught learning more about grant writing procedure in anticipation of adding that to her existing duties at some point in the future.
