The Butler Transit Authority has approved a project to repair the floor of their bus garage.
At their Tuesday meeting, the authority board authorized paying nearly $15,000 to Holbein Inc to accomplish the work later this fall.
According to Executive Director John Paul, a large area has been damaged by corrosive salt over several years to reveal exposed rebar.
Authority administrators plan to request that BART (Butler Area Rural Transit) drivers run their vehicles through the bus-wash regularly this winter in an effort to reduce the chances of future damage.
