The Butler County Treasurer is reminding dog owners to renew their licenses.
According to Diane Marburger, dog licenses can be bought online or in-person at her office in the County Government Center.
A regular annual license costs $10.80, and that price is reduced by two dollars for senior citizens.
There’s also an option for a lifetime license, which is $52.80 or $36.80 for seniors.
The Butler County Dog Warden will begin canvassing checks March 1st and owners of dogs without licenses will receive a $500 citation.
