The man who was found guilty of shooting and killing 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018 is eligible for the death penalty.
A jury found that Robert Bowers had the required intent to kill—meaning capital punishment is now a possibility.
The jury came to that conclusion after deliberating for just under two hours.
The case now moves to the third and final phase, which a jury will decide if Bowers should receive the death penalty.
Experts believe that part of the trial will last about three weeks.
Back in May, Bowers was found guilty on all 63 counts related to the October 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
