Martin Truex, Jr. won the Nascar Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia last night for his first victory of the season, but second straight at the short track. He led the final 131 laps of the race for his 27th overall victory.
Ryan Blaney was the runner-up, followed by Brad Keselowski.

Prior to last night’s race – Nascar announced the banning of the Confederate flag from any events and properties associated with the organization. The move was in response to efforts by driver Bubba Wallace of Petty Motorsports, who is the only black driver in the Cup Series.
