There were five new COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday for Butler County.
This comes along with 182 negative tests, giving today’s report a 2.6 percent positivity rate.
That continues a trend of a declining positivity rate in the county—over the past seven days, the rate is just under 2 percent.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating four patients for the coronavirus, with one in the ICU.
The hospital did report a COVID-19 death to the Department of Health on Monday, but Butler Health System officials say that person was not a county resident.
The Department of Health attributes COVID deaths by people’s county of residence, not the county where they died.
Across the state, there were 561 new positive cases, 26 new deaths, and just under 12,000 negative tests.
