Butler County saw 15 new coronavirus cases reported by the state Department of Health Tuesday.
This also comes along with 270 new negative tests reported—which indicates about a 5 percent positivity rate in the daily report for Butler.
The county now has 444 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating six patients for the coronavirus, with one in the ICU.
Butler Health System also said in a press release that, “there has been a very significant increase in outpatient testing across the region. Results can take 1-2 weeks.”
Allegheny County reported 331 new cases, which marks an all-time high. County officials did note that the new number of positive cases comes amid a large number of reported tests. There were more than 4,500 tests reported for Allegheny County on Tuesday.
Overall the state reported 929 new cases, with the total now surpassing 96,000. The state estimates 76 percent of total cases have recovered. So far there have been over 844,000 negative tests.
