There were 17 new cases of COVID-19 reported for Butler County Tuesday.
It comes with 107 negative tests, giving today’s report a 13.7 percent positivity rate.
But the spike in cases continues to happen in Slippery Rock as the state’s dashboard is reporting ten new cases in zip code 16057.
SRU’s website says they have had 21 new cases over the past seven days, and 93 total since mid-August.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating one patient for the coronavirus, with no one in the ICU.
And according to the Pennsylvania Department of Heath, the state has now surpassed 8,000 COVID-19 deaths. As for today, there were 864 new cases, 19 new deaths, and about 10,000 negative tests.
