There is still time for residents to sign up for a fundraiser later this month to benefit local kids in the Butler Area School District.
The annual Tuff Tornado Run sponsored by the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation will take place Saturday, September 30th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alameda Park.
Those who register online for this all-ages two mile fun run with obstacles by the end of today will receive a free T-shirt. The day will also include food trucks and a 50/50 raffle.
A family of up to six can register for $50, while those 13 and older are $20 and those ages 5 to 12 are $15. Proceeds allow the Foundation to support the Kids Weekend Backpack Program, Creative Teaching Grants and Technology for students.
