Former Pittsburgh Steeler and current broadcaster Tunch Ilkin says he has been diagnosed with ALS.
Ilkin revealed in a video with The Bible Chapel, that he was diagnosed with ALS, which is commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, earlier this year.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease which attacks motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord, resulting in the wasting away of muscle and loss of movement.
Ilkin said he’s still working out every week and takes daily prayer walks. He also said he plans to still be in the radio broadcast booth for Steelers games.
