–Megan Baggetta won the Triple Jump at the South Fayette Invitational over the weekend. She had a winning jump of more than 38 feet, moving her to the #3-ranking in the state.
–Butler’s CJ Singleton finished second overall at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The Notre Dame recruit completed the mile at 4:07.51. The winner was Virginia recruit Gary Martin of Archbishop Wood, who set a meet record of 4:01.04.
A woman from western Pennsylvania won the Pittsburgh Marathon Sunday. Nicole Hilton had never run a marathon before, but is a former high school distance running athlete from South Fayette high school, where she won WPIAL and PIAA cross country events and went on to run at Ohio State. Alvaro Abreu of Puerto Rico won the men’s event.
