Two motorists were injured following a motorcycle crash that occurred earlier this weekend in Parker Township.
According to State Police, 58-year-old Kevin Kinslow of Pittsburgh was riding his Harley Davidson on Kittanning Pike just before 2:30pm on Saturday when a deer jumped out onto the roadway.
Authorities say that Kinslow was unable to avoid the deer and struck the animal before laying the bike down. Officials say that Kinslow and his passenger were then thrown from the motorcycle.
Police say that Kinslow, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered suspected serious injuries and was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Kinslow’s passenger, who was wearing a helmet, suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No other vehicles were involved in Saturday’s crash.
