Traffic was delayed for a while this morning following a crash on I-79.
This happened around 8:15 a.m. in the northbound lane, near mile marker 93—which is in between the Zelienople and Portersville exits.
Dispatchers say a box truck rolled over and went down a hillside. At least one person was entrapped when crews arrived.
It’s unclear what caused the crash, but two people were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.
The crash did cause significant damage to a guardrail, that PennDOT says will have to be replaced.
Traffic was moving again by 10:30 a.m.
