A pair of volunteer firefighters are facing charges after police say they were responsible for a string of arsons in Lawrence County.
State police didn’t reveal the name of two men from New Galillee—one is a 22-year-old, the other a 19 man. Police also say a third unnamed 18-year-old man from Edinburg was involved.
The fires at four different locations inside Lawrence County back on February 2nd just after midnight. Three of the four fires were at vacant homes and barns.
- Vacant home on Jacobsen Rd. in Mahoning Twp. (Damage estimate: $10,000)
- Barn on East River Rd. in Mahoning Twp. (Damage estimate: $500)
- Vacant farmhouse on Shaffer Rd. in Slippery Rock Twp. (Damage estimate: $25,000)
- Occupied home on River Rd. Taylor Twp. (Damage estimate: $500)
The two people inside the house were able to escape safely.
The three men were arraigned Thursday in front of Hon. Jennifer Nicholson.
