Two write-in candidates for Butler City Council successfully made the ballot for this fall.
The county’s election bureau confirmed that Sherri Hershberger and Donald Shearer got enough write-in votes to be candidates in the general election.
Hershberger will appear as both a Republican and Democrat on the ballot, while Shearer will be only listed as a Republican.
They join Larry Christy who was the only declared candidate on the ballot this spring.
All three candidates will be vying for two open seats on City Council.
