The United States Steel Corporation is being bought by another large steelmaker out of Japan.
The company announced that Nippon Steel Corporation would be acquiring U.S. in an approximately $15 billion deal.
Company officials say that U.S. Steel will keep its name and its headquarters in Pittsburgh.
The deal received unanimous approval by both Board of Directors.
The sale is expected to close at some point next year.
