A local organization has been chosen to receive money from the federal government to help people who live and work in rural areas.
The Housing Authority of the County of Butler will receive nearly $178,000.
This money is being dispersed through the USDA’s Rural Development Housing Preservation program.
A total of $86 million is being dispersed nationwide to help improve equitable access to jobs, business opportunities, education, and health care.
