Summit Township has confirmed that officials from the Post Office have visited Herman as they close in on a new location for the post office.
After visiting the Herman Volunteer Fire Department, officials from the Post Office believe with some minor updates it will be a suitable location.
The next step in the process will be a letter going out to all the residents to see if they have any comments about the location. If no one responds a request, it will be sent to Washington D.C. to the planning committee.
If the committee in Washington approve the location it’s unknown how long it will take to become official.
