We are halfway through VA Health Professions Education Week and the Butler VA Health Care System is expressing appreciation for these programs which help to improve care for local Veterans.
VA faculty and academic partners train over 100,000 future health professionals every year through over 7,000 programs offered at 150 VA health care facilities.
Butler VA Director Sharon Coyle stated “We want to take the opportunity to recognize and thank our dedicated health professions trainees, educators, academic affiliates, and most of all, our Veterans who actively engage in the VA’s training mission”.
The Butler VA trains from 50 to 75 future health professionals every year in disciplines such as nursing, pharmacy, therapy, and behavioral health.
