Multiple crews were called to battle a significant fire at a vacant building in Center Township.
The fire broke out around 4:15 p.m. yesterday at a two-story building on Route 8 North, about a half-mile south of the Unionville Fire Department.
Crews arrived on scene and found a fully-involved fire, with smoke billowing over Route 8.
Additional crews were called to help battle the blaze.
A portion of Route 8 also was shut down due to the extent of the fire.
The fire was brought under control within an hour, but the building is considered a total loss.
The fire rekindled a couple of times throughout the evening.
The building is expected to be demolished.
