A mistake in vaccine distribution and administration could delay shots for thousands of Pennsylvanians.
State health officials say doses of the Moderna vaccine that were intended to be used as second shots were instead administered as first shots.
Health leaders attributed the mistake to a lack of communication—however the error has led the state to extend time between shots for some people up to 42 days.
But at a local level, Butler Health System officials say this mistake did not affect them at all and that the process has been good so far.
