An Erie resident was injured following a one vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month in neighboring Mercer County.
According to State Police, 51-year-old Hajrudin Ferhatovic of Erie was driving a van with approximately 5,000 to 7,000 pounds of brake rotors on Route 173 in Worth Township just before 3:30pm on April 13th when a rear fire deflated.
Authorities say that Ferhatovic then lost control of the van, which then flipped onto its side. Crews were able to extricate Ferhatovic and his passenger through the front windshield.
Officials say that unidentified passenger suffered injuries of an unknown severity and was transported to the Grove City Medical Center.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
