A vehicle fled the scene from an accident over the weekend after hitting another car in a construction zone.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon around 4:20 p.m. on I-79 southbound in Worth Township.
Police say two vehicles were entering a construction area, where traffic was reduced to one lane. Whenever 48-year-old Beth Pantall of Pittsburgh tried to merge into the right lane she was hit by another car.
That driver fled the scene; police did not provide any description of the vehicle.
Pantall was not injured in the accident.
