The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs are reminding veterans in need what assistance programs are available.
The Veterans Temporary Assistance (VTA) program can provide up to $1,600 for veterans in need of food, shelter, fuel, and clothing.
To be eligible, you must have served a period of active duty in the armed forces and received a discharge under conditions other than dishonorable. Surviving dependents can also apply for the support.
More information can always be found on the DMVA website.
