Although voter turnout didn’t rival this past November, there was an increase in the number of people that participated in this past week’s primary.
According to the county’s website, over 28 percent of the registered voters cast a ballot this Tuesday.
That number is up from the last municipal primary in 2019, which saw a 22 percent voter turnout rate.
But, to put that number in perspective, almost 80 percent of voters cast a ballot during last year’s November presidential election in Butler County.
