Crews were called to the West End Friday afternoon for a water main break just off New Castle Street.
Just after noon crews were called to fifth and New Castle Street for a water main break. When they arrived on scene a large hole could been seen in the ground.
Water has been shut off as the road as the repair begins.
As crews are working on the road they have closed fifth avenue.
