A higher water rate is now in effect in Cranberry Township.
The West View Water Authority Board of Directors approved the rate increase to both monthly customer service and volume consumption charges.
Cranberry Township supervisors say they purchase all of their water from West View, which in turn led to the increase in rates.
That means the average Cranberry homeowner will pay about $3.90 more per month.
It’s the first rate increase since 2022.
