Local residents are dealing with the aftermath of another strong storm that swept through the Butler area Wednesday afternoon.
After only a chance of rain was forecast, the skies darkened then opened up shortly before 5 p.m.
Crews were dispatched to a tree on wires blocking the southbound lanes of North Main Street as well as wires down on West Penn Street. Additionally, a tree was reported to be on wires and a transformer on East Jefferson Street.
Flooding was also reported in several areas around the city of Butler. Penn Power reported over 1,700 county residents without power including over 500 in Cranberry Township and nearly 500 in Adams Township.
