There were 70 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death reported by the state for Butler County on Wednesday.
That brings the death toll for the county to 389 since the beginning of the pandemic.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 16 patients for the coronavirus which is a decrease of two compared to Monday, with five COVID patients in the ICU down from six on Monday.
The number of statewide hospitalizations continues to increase with now more than 2,300 people receiving treatment for COVID. That’s up about 90 since Monday.
