The state Department of Health is reporting one new death for Butler County Wednesday, bringing the county’s COVID death toll to 23.
It’s unclear if that death happened in the county, or to a local resident who passed away outside of Butler County.
As for the case count, six new cases of COVID-19 reported for Butler County on Wednesday.
It comes with 204 negative test results, giving the most recent report a 2.9 percent positivity rate.
As of Wednesday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating two patients for suspected coronavirus, with no one in the ICU.
Statewide, there were 898 new cases, 39 new deaths, and just shy of 13,000 negative test results.
