Gas prices have jumped up both locally as well as across the western Pennsylvania region as a whole over the past week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of yesterday, increased by 13 cents to reach $3.64 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole dropped by a dime to $3.54. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in Clarion at $3.09, while the most expensive is in Beaver at $3.70.
The average national gas price rose by a penny over the past week to sit at $3.19. This is four cents more than a month ago and eight cents less than one year ago.
