The National Weather Services says the Winter Storm Warning will continue to be in effect until 1 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Officials say a heavy mixed of precipitation is expected tonight. We could see new ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch and possibly 3 to 5 inches of snow. A low tonight will be around 27 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 100%.
As we get into the overnight hours and into Tuesday, expect snow, freezing rain, and possibly sleet before 8am with a of snow showers after that time. The temperature will fall to around 21 by 5pm. The snow shower will taper off on Tuesday. There will be a West wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Travel in these conditions can easily be effected as well and become difficult. Officials says if you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
