The winter storm this weekend is now in the development stage and Butler is now expected to receive one of the largest snowfalls in years.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning that will go in effect starting at 7 p.m. Saturday through noon Monday.
As of now, the National Weather Service is predicting anywhere from 10 to 14 inches of heavy snow. The heaviest snow is now expected to start Sunday morning and continuing into Monday.
There is also a Cold Weather Advisory, which starts today at 4 p.m. and runs through 7 a.m. tomorrow as temperatures will drop to -4 tonight.
