A winter storm watch is in effect for this weekend.
The National Weather Service issued the watch for Butler and surrounding counties as a potentially large winter storm system is expected to impact the area starting Saturday night.
Current projections have the snow lasting all day Sunday and lingering into Monday afternoon.
Although meteorologists with the National Weather Service note that snow totals could change, initial projections have estimated anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow.
