A quick burst of wintry weather yesterday kept emergency crews busy throughout the county.
While it didn’t bring significant accumulation, many roads were covered with snow by late afternoon. In total, the Butler County 911 Center handled nearly two dozen calls between noon and midnight Monday.
Around 4:45 p.m., crews responded to a rollover crash on Center Avenue in the City of Butler. All occupants were able to get safely out of the vehicle. However, traffic was delayed for nearly an hour until crews could clear the scene.
Then around 7:45 p.m. crews had to briefly shut down Evans City Road due to a two vehicle accident. This happened at the intersection with Brownsdale Road in Forward Township.
It’s not clear what caused the crash, but one person was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.
