Governor Tom Wolf says he will not be endorsing any candidates for senate in the upcoming Democratic primary.
Wolf said that he prefers to let the process play out over the next year instead of weighing in early. That decision comes even though his Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman has already announced his campaign for the seat.
However, Wolf has publicly thrown his support behind Attorney General Josh Shapiro for governor. While Shapiro has not formally announced his campaign, he is widely expected to join the race and have the party’s backing, as no other Democrats have said they will run.
