Governor Tom Wolf is hoping with the latest executive action by President Joe Biden, that COVID-19 vaccine distribution will get better in the Keystone State.
“With a better federal vaccine distribution process, vaccine distribution in Pennsylvania will absolutely go faster,” Wolf said in a press conference. “And I’ll continue to urge the Biden administration to continue to make more vaccines available to Pennsylvania.”
Wolf says when the state increased the number of residents available to get the vaccine in Phase 1A, he assumed there would be more vaccine available.
“We have far less supply than we hoped that we would have at this point,” Wolf said. “And there are far more people given the fact that we’ve expanded the list in 1A. We have more people who are in line right now to get the vaccine. Those two things lead to shortages and longer wait times.”
Wolf also added that once more vaccine becomes available, the state is ready to distribute more shots.
