A Butler woman is facing charges for breaking into a garage in Allegheny Township after trying to escape the strong storms from late last week
On Thursday around 7 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of North Washington Street for a woman looking into cars and houses.
According to charging documents, police say Tabetha Stevenson was found in a garage on the 100 block of Foxburg Road.
Stevenson told police she broke into the garage to avoid the incoming rain.
Police charged Stevenson with criminal trespassing, drug possession, and disorderly conduct.
Stevenson was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bond and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 3.
