A woman has been charged with taking control of a business website and attempting to extort the owner.
Harmony Family Chiropractic had a former employee, 36-year-old Kelly Yockey of Cranberry, change log-ins to the business website and would only return them in exchange for payment.
Yockey demanded she be paid $36,000 and her final paycheck because that was “her value to the business.” Yockey worked for the chiropractic for three years.
There has been no word that Yockery has surrendered the website back to the business.
Yockery has been charged with unlawful use of a computer and theft extortion.
