A Pittsburgh woman is in the Butler County Prison after she attempted to hit an officer.
The incident happened Tuesday, when officers were called to the General Butler Bridge for a woman sitting along the road with a bottle of lighter fluid.
Police identified the woman as 31-year-old Shawndia Devaughn of Pittsburgh.
The officer assisted Devaughn away from the road and she said she was ready to go to jail. Devaughn then put her hand in her jacket and attempted to hit the officer twice and throw something before being taken into custody.
Devaughn is charged aggravated assault and resisting arrest and was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 23rd.
