Police have filed charges after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash last month in Cranberry Township.
The incident happened in the early morning hours of November 13th, when 28-year-old Tayden Schweiger was hit by a car on Franklin Road while walking to work.
Schweiger suffered serious injuries and was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Police have now filed charges against Georgetta Coleman of Sarver with careless driving and driving under a suspended license.
Coleman told police she thought she hit a deer whenever the accident happened. She eventually turned herself in not long after the accident.
Schweiger’s family says he has a long road to recovery after suffering a fractured skull, brain bleed, and other injuries.
