The daughter of a woman who died in a motorcycle crash this past summer in Washington Township is suing her step-father.
Last July during the Ride for a Cure event, Douglas Campbell Jr. allegedly was driving his motorcycle with 66-year-old Betty Campbell as his passenger.
They were on Route 38 when the motorcycle went off the road and crashed into a guardrail.
Betty Campbell was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital but later died from her injuries.
Now, according to a newly filed lawsuit in civil court, Campbell’s daughter, Judy Watt, claims that her step-father, Campbell Jr., was under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs at the time of the crash.
Watt is seeking damages greater than $35,000 for death of her mother.
