Two women from Florida are facing charges after they were involved in a theft and fraud scheme in Cranberry Township.
Last Thursday, police were called to the Cranberry Township Walmart after two women were caught stealing a wallet and then making several high value purchases.
Police say 43-year-old Oana Dumitru and 20-year-old Andreia Dunca both of Orlando, stole the victim’s wallet then went to Best Buy and attempted two purchases one for $2,383 for a computer and a second purchase for $2,499 that was declined.
The two women are alleged to have committed similar crimes in several other states as well.
They were charged with several counts of felony theft. They are both awaiting a preliminary hearing in Butler County.
