Even though weather conditions are less than ideal, work on the Butler Senior High School construction projects continues.
The Butler Area School District Board of Directors heard an update at their Monday night meeting from the district’s construction manager on the classroom expansion project.
The Board approved several change orders totaling nearly $50,000 involving re-routing ductwork as well as adding lighting and power in the corridor tying the 300 wing to the 500 wing. Crews have finished plumbing work and moved on to exterior panels and the tech-ed area.
An occupancy permit has been obtained for administration offices in the locker-room area. The finished rooms will begin to be turned over to school faculty and staff in late March.
