Progress continues on land in the Pullman Business Park purchased four years ago by Butler Township to use for recreational purposes.
Monday night the Township Commissioners approved a motion to advertise for a company to construct a concession and restroom building along with a parking lot and pouring pads for bleachers.
This 28 by 62 foot all-seasons structure will include a mechanical room and a press box with chair lift access as well as a warming kitchen with refrigerator, cabinets, and outlets for use by those who rent the field.
The timeline for this process could see bids awarded in May with a 90 days construction period expected to finish in August.
The contractor working on the field portion of this project has received the artificial turf which could be installed next week but they are still waiting for delivery of an electrical cabinet ordered six months ago before additional electrical work can be accomplished.
