Work begins tonight on a stretch of Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.
PennDOT officials say there will be concrete repairs in both the north and southbound lanes starting today.
The work will stretch from the Exit 77 turnpike on-ramp to the Route 228 exit northbound and to the Weigh Station southbound.
The overnight drainage installation will run from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. until Friday at which time milling and shoulder work will take place in one of the northbound lanes all day Saturday. That work will continue on another northbound lane all day Sunday.
This over $5 million project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
