The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing a project in Middlesex and Adams Townships this week.
Long-term traffic control along Route 228 for the Three Degree Road Intersection Project begins today with a detour in place at Officer Edward Brooks Drive through the first week of August.
Crews will be constructing drainage and a dry holding basin to deal with issues caused by heavy rain. The area will continue to be filled until the new roadway is ready to be paved. This is expected to involve construction vehicles regularly entering and exiting Route 228.
Traffic control signs will be used to guide motorists through a detour that uses Three Degree Road and Davidson Road. This nearly $56 million project is expected to be completed in November of 2026.
