The WPIAL released its high school basketball playoff brackets last night.
Boys Class 6A:
–Butler will begin the First Round next Tuesday when they host Norwin at 7pm. The winner will face Central Catholic in the Quarterfinals. Central Catholic received a First Round Bye.
–North Allegheny will host Baldwin and Pine-Richland will host Bethel Park.
Boys 5A:
–Mars will host Thomas Jefferson Monday in the First Round at 8pm. The Planets are the 5A third seed.
4A:
–North Catholic will host Central Valley Friday at 7pm. The Trojans are the #4-seed.
–Freeport will visit Uniontown Friday
Girls Class 6A:
–Butler will travel to Peters Township in the First Round Friday at 8pm. The winner will travel to Mt. Lebanon for a Quarterfinal Round match-up.
–Seneca Valley received a First Round Bye.
5A:
–Mars will travel to Latrobe next Tuesday at 7pm.
4A:
–Knoch has received a First Round Bye and are the #3-seed. The Knights will await the winner of the First Round match-up between Deer Lakes & Montour. Their Quarterfinal Round game will be Friday, February 25th.
–Freeport will travel to Beaver next Tuesday at 7pm in the First Round.
3A:
–North Catholic received a First Round Bye and is the top seed. They will await the winner of the First Round game between Laurel and Charleroi.
