The WPIAL Basketball Playoffs were announced Monday:
Boys Basketball:
–Butler will travel to Upper St. Clair in the Class 6A playoffs Friday, February 23rd.
–Knoch will host Beaver this Friday night to open the Class 4A playoffs. Tip-off is 7pm. The game can be heard on WISR.
–North Catholic will host Elizabeth Forward and Freeport will face #1-seeded Lincoln Park Friday also in the Class 4A First Round.
–Mars will visit #2-seeded Franklin Regional Friday to open the Class 5A playoffs.
Girls Basketball:
–Seneca Valley will visit Norwin Thursday, February 22nd in the Class 6A First Round.
–Mars will travel to South Fayette in the Class 5A First Round next Tuesday (February 20).
–Knoch will host Belle Vernon next Tuesday to open the Class 4A Playoffs.
–North Catholic received a Class 4A First Round “bye” and are the #2-seed.
