WPIAL Soccer Playoffs:
–The defending WPIAL and state champion Mars Girls defeated Laurel Highlands 13-0 in the 3A First Round.
–The Seneca Valley Girls defeated Penn-Trafford 7-1 in the 4A First Round.
–The North Allegheny Girls defeated Bethel Park 3-0.
–Moon eliminated the Pine-Richland Girls 1-0.
–North Catholic defeated Leechburg 2-0 in the 2A Boys First Round.
Tonight:
–The Butler Boys visit Canon-McMillan at 6:30pm.
–N.A. Boys will host Allderdice at 8pm.
–The North Catholic and Freeport Girls meet at Mars high school at 6:30pm in the 2A First Round.
WPIAL Football Playoff match-ups Friday:
–Seneca Valley will visit North Allegheny in the 6A semifinals.
–Mars will visit Thomas Jefferson in the 4A quarterfinals
–Freeport will travel to Elizabeth Forward in the 3A quarterfinals.
All are 7pm kick-offs.
Following their 34-9 win over Central Clarion last Friday – the Karns City Gremlins will meet Brookville this Friday in the District-9 Double-A title game. Kick-off is 7pm at Brockway high school.
